Manipur to cut VAT on petrol and diesel

On this festive season of Diwali and Ningol Chakouba of Manipur, Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh announced that the government of Manipur will reduce the Value added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel by 7 Rs with immediate effect. CM announcement for the state comes after Prime Minister N. Modi decides to reduce excise duty on petrol and diesel as a gift to the people of India for Diwali. Most recently, the rate of petrol sore up to Rs 112 at Tegnoupal, Senapati, Kamjong, and Ukhrul. Along with that, the general rate of diesel fluctuates between Rs 101 and rs100 in almost all districts of Manipur.
