The Bharatiya Janata Party will release its manifesto for Tirpura polls on Thursday. BJP national President JP Nadda will be in state capital, Agartala on Thursday where he will offer prayers at Mata Tripura Sundari temple after which he will release the manifesto.
The BJP has put up candidates in 55 seats and has left five seats for its ally Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura. On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the state and held an election rally at Suryamaninagar where he said that the speed of the double-engine government was felt during the COVID-19 pandemic when people were getting free vaccines, free treatment and free food.
The polls to the 60-member Tripura Legislative Assembly will take place on February 16 and the votes will be counted on March 2.
