Counting of votes for Assembly elections in Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya began early in the morning on Thursday.
In Tripura, trends are available for all 60 seats. The ruling BJP - IPFT combined is leading in 34 seats, while CPM- Congress is leading in 15 seats. While the others are leading in 11 seats. Chief Minister and BJP candidate Dr. Manik Saha is leading in town Bardowali constituency.
While in Nagaland, trends are available for all the 60 seats in the 60-member Assembly, the Ruling BJP - NDPP combined has won 3 seats and the combined is leading on 37 seats, while Naga People's Front (NPF) is leading in 3 seats. Congress is leading in 4 seats, while others have won 2 seats and are leading in 15. BJP candidate Kazheto Kinimi has already won from the Akuluto constituency unopposed. Incumbent Chief Minister and NDPP candidate Neiphiu Rio is leading from the Northern Angami-II assembly constituency.
And in Meghalaya, trends are available for all the seats. The Ruling National People's Party (NPP) has won one and is leading in 22 seats, while BJP is leading in 5, Congress in 5 seats, United Democratic Party (UDP) in 8, and Others in 19 seats.
Chief Minister and NPP candidate Conrad Sangma is leading in the South Tura Assembly seat, while Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tysong of NPP is leading in the Pynursla constituency. BJP Candidate Samuel M Sangma is leading in the Baghmara constituency.
