India Journalism Union Signs MoU with Nepal Press Union

The two premier journalist unions of India and Nepal signed a memorandum of understanding on 30th March 2023 for bilateral cooperation in the fields of strengthening friendship between people of the two countries and media issues. The two unions will work in the following fields.

  1. Focussing on resolving issues involving India and Nepal and thereby enhancing friendly relations between the two neighbouring countries.
  2. Working for ensuring unhindered media freedom and safety of journalism across the two countries.
  3. Conducting group tours of journalists in both countries for exchanging views sharing experiences and studying media quality, best practices in organizing unions, and excellence in journalism.
  4. Focussing on the culture, history, and common heritage of both countries.
  5. Facilitating medical assistance in India and Nepal to the Journalists of both countries.
  6. Working on any other issues relating to journalism and bilateral relationships between both countries.
