Gujarat Assembly Elections: Campaigning for first phase ends today; PM Modi to address rallies in 3 places

Campaigning for the first phase of Gujarat Assembly will end at 5 pm this evening. All political parties are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Tuesday address a rally in Gujarat's Morbi where a bridge collapse last month claimed the lives of over 140 people; the district has been at the centre of politics ever since.
PM Modi will also address rallies in Somnath, Bhavnagar, and Navsari. The state will vote in two phases on December 1 and 5, while the counting of votes will be taken up on December 8.
The high-stake election in the BJP’s strongest bastion is likely to see a three-way contest with AAP emerging as the third contender.
On Sunday, the Congress hit out at Modi's visits to Gujarat with Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot saying the PM is campaigning in every street of the state as the BJP did not do any work. AAP's national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal asserted on Sunday that his party will form the next government in Gujarat.
