DOUBLE ENGINE GOVERNMENT FAILED IN EVERY ASPECT OF DEVELOPMENT: FORMER CM O IBOBI
Thoubal, February 7- Former Chief Minister and CLP Leader O. Ibobi asked what change did the present CM N. Biren led government and Modi led government brought to Manipur.
Ibobi in his Chief Guest's speech posed the above questions to the present government at the flag hoisting ceremony held at the residence of Moirangthem Hemanta, Wangjing Tentha AC Congress candidate of 6 political party alliance, Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance (MPSA) at Tentha Khongbal.
Ibobi further speaking asked what projects has been brought by Modi and his Ministers while visiting the Northeast rather than spreading false propaganda and jeopardizing people's minds. Ruling both the center and state, they claimed that this double engine is drawing peoples toward development. What they are doing is not development, it's only spreading propaganda, so please select the candidate of Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance said the former CM.
Congress candidate and Former Minister Moirangthem Hemanta urge the people to end this dictatorial type of government which violated the fundamental rights of people given by the Constitution. Criticism against the government is now illegal, it's just like the dictatorial regime, to top this all and bring changes he urges the public to support the 6 party alliance. He said, people already know what Congress does and What BJP does- "as heaven is not comparable to hell, Congress achievement is not comparable to BJP achievement".
He added that all the good ideals and development weaved by the Congress is shattering, he urges the people to defeat BJP to not to make the mistake done by the people earlier by selecting them.
Speaking about Wangjing Tentha Kendra Ibobi asked what changes did the defector BJP MLA Paonam Brojen brought to the constituency. Brojen fooled the innocent citizens of Tentha, he urges the people to vote wisely, he said that acceptance of Brojen to the Congress despite the absolute majority was a big mistake.
Further adding Manipur Civil Secretariate construction was almost completed about 80% during the Congress tenure. The construction work of the Civil Secretariate is stalled in this incumbent BJP led government. On such a propaganda-oriented, zero development party the present Wangjing Tentha MLA Paonam Brojen defected. It is high time to teach him a lesson, it was during the Congress tenure Aided High School of Tentha was upgraded to Government High School, construction of infrastructure of Primary Health Center. He further asked what development was brought in the aspect of electricity, water, and education to Wangjing Tentha by this 5 years double engine government and MLA Paonam Brojen.
The Flag hoisting ceremony was attended by Thoubal District Block Congress Committee President M. Lukhoi, Wangjing Tentha Block Congress Committee President Sh. Gopeshwor, Advisor L. Shyamo, RSP, AIFB, JDS, CPI and CPI(M) Manipur state leaders and Wangjing Tentha Kendra CPI local leaders.
