Imphal, 23rd November 2021: Laitonjam Jayananda, NPP Intending candidate of Khurai Constituency strongly opposed the thrashing of the workers and supporters of a different political party by the MLA of the same constituency. He called this act senselessness and sheer irresponsibility. “This sort of hooliganism is absentmindedness and incompetence on the part of the BJP MLA”, he added.
The intending candidate also said, "Organizing a function nearby their campaign all of a sudden with the CM on the same day is an uncivilized act".
The candidate said a slight discord occurred when the members of NPP and BJP hoisted their flag to receive Conrad K. Sangma the next day. Following that- the BJP MLA came with his security the next day and vandalized the volunteers of NPP.
He expressed the statement in the political conference held today in Khurai A/C organized in connection to Ningol Chakouba Celebration for the last month. The conference was organized to seek warm wishes and blessings for NPP intending candidates from the mothers, sisters, and daughters of the Constituency for the upcoming assembly elections early next year.
Konrad K. Sangma, National President NPP, Y. Jayentakumar, President NPP Manipur State, L. Jayentakumar, Working President of the state, and other intending candidates of the party took part in the conference.
