13th Alpha & Omega Gospel Knock-out Football Tournament kick started
The opening ceremony of the 13th Alpha & Omega Gospel Knock-out Football Tournament was held at Longmai Common ground under Noney District on Monday. The tournament was organized by Alpha & Omega Sports Ministry under the theme " RAISING TOMORROW'S CHAMPION"
During the opening ceremony, MLA 54/AC Nungba & HAC Chairman Dinganglung Gangmei@Dipu and Noney DC Joseph Pauline Kamson attended as Chief Guest & Guest of Honour respectively in the presence of Theophilus Gangmei, Missionary to Cambodia.
Speaking at the event, Dinganglung Gangmei encourages all the team participants and also talks about the Spirits of games & Sports. Through sports, it brings unity, peace & development to our community said Gangmei.
He further assured development projects for sports lovers like a swimming pool, football gallery stage for Longmai Common, and other game & sports projects will bring as soon as possible.
On the sidelines, Tree Plantation in connection with Sewa Pakhwada (A Forth Night For Service) also takes part on his way to grace as chief guest.
Namsadai Peter Addtl.SP Noney, Nepoleon Rongmei DFO Noney, D.Stody M/S Gaidingam Service Station, and Rev.G Adim Chairman LCF were attended as special invitees.
During the program, GMP Band and several artists also performed special songs and choreography.
The Alpha Omega Sports Ministry is a youth-oriented Christian Sports Ministry base in Cambodia. They have been able to accomplish so much over the past few years. They have recently opened their unit here in India. The ministry aims to bring all the youths of different faith into mainstream sports by teaching them Christian values, Teams Spirit, Love & Respect among athletes. Past campaigns have enabled us to bring positive changes to the younger community.
There are 17 (Seventeen) football team clubs were take part in the tournament. The opening match was played between Rangkhung-1 FC Vs Alpha Omega FC and the match was won by Rangkhung-1 FC goal status 3 - 1.
