1st Mayor Cup Inter Sylhet Manipuri Kang Tournament 2022: Men’s Super-Six Round Kicks off Today

Super Six Round of the 1st Mayor Cup Inter Sylhet Manipuri Kang Tournament 2022 kicked off today at Leichom Leikai (Lamabazar Manipuri Para).
The tournament has been organized since 29th April 2022 with the view to promoting and popularizing Kang, the indigenous and inseparable sport of the Meiteis and the history of Manipur. The tournament is being organized under the supervision of the Sylhet Manipuri Kang Association.
Lainingthou Kangkhut beat Banglasha Kangkhut by 10-5 points in the first match of the Super Six Round beginning today.
And in the second match, Asamfa Amborkhana Kangkhut defeated Vanuganj Legend Kangkhut by 12-8. While in the 3rd match, Gopal Dev Kangkhut Manipur lost to the Nayabazar Naharol Kangkhut 4 points. Gopal Dev Manipur Kankhut scored 7 points while Nayabazar Naharol Kangkhut scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, the women’s Super-6 round will begin from tomorrow onwards.
