The Commonwealth Games 2022 came to an end with a glittering closing ceremony at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
India finished the Commonwealth Games (CWG) campaign with a total of 61 medals (22 Gold, 16 Silver, and 23 Bronze medals).
The action-packed edition Games concluded following eleven days of sporting activities in which more than 5,000 athletes from 72 nations and territories competed.
Australia topped the CWG 202 medal tally by winning 178 medals (67 Gold, 57 silver, and 57 Bronze medals), followed by England (176) and Canada (92).
India won 6 medals on the last day of CWG 2022, which included 4 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal. Badminton players PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won gold in singles, while the pair of Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won gold in doubles.
Tennis players Achanta Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gyanasekhar won gold and bronze medal, respectively in the men's singles event.
The Indian men's hockey team settled for a silver after a drubbing from Australia.
