G-5 Heirok wins TKWA Trophy 2021-2022

Tentha Khongbal Welfare Association (TKWA) Trophy 2021-2022 which commenced from 28th of May at Tentha Multiplex Ground participated by 32 teams in 8 groups came to a close on Sunday. The final match was played by SANA FC Thoubal and G-5 Heirok. G-5 Heirok won the Trophy by a score of 6-5 in penalty shoot-out. Both the teams had a tie score at the given time, Sana FC goal was scored by Amarjit on 15 minutes of the match and G-5 goal was scored by Nanao on 58 minutes of the match.
The closing ceremony was attended by Thangmeiband AC MLA Khumukcham Joykishan, Wangkhei AC MLA Thangjam Arunkumar, Director Education (S) L. Nandakumar Singh, IAS, Secretary Revenue/PHED Govt. of Manipur N. Khedavarta, IRS and Social Activist Shanjoy Ahanthem.
Winning team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs.1 Lac, Trophy and medals and the Runners-up Team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 70,000/-, Trophy and medals.
Prize were also distributed to the best players and best teams (Man of Match -Manao of G-5 Heirok, Emerging Player of the Tournament- P. Naoba of ATCC Tentha, Best Player of the Tournament- Arun of G-5, Top Scorer- Premjit of G-5 and Linthoi of SANA FC, Best Goalkeeper- Nawaj of SANA FC, Best Defender- Lucky of SANA FC, Best Midfielder- Thoiba of SANA FC, Best Discipline Team- MARD Club Moirang, Most Enthusiastic Team- Yairipok FC). Renowned and famous footballers from Tentha were also felicitated and honored.
