As Japan and South Korea suffer defeat in the hand of Croatia and Brazil on the round of sixteen, their dream campaign to enter quarter finals in the ongoing FIFA World Cup end abruptly.

Following a 1-1 stalemate that right in the extra time, Croatia beat Japan 3-1 in the first penalty shootout of the 2022 World Cup, courtesy of Croatia’s Dominik Livakovic’s three saves.

It was Neymar's 76th goal for Brazil, leaving him just one behind the legendary Pele's all-time record.
