1435 Bags of Urea Siezed During Illegal Transit from Molcam and Phaisi Areas

Teams of Kakching Police, on Wednesday, seized 1435 bags of urea from being transported illegally to the bordering areas near Molcham and Phaisi.
On receiving information around 10:30 pm on Wednesday that some Tata trucks loaded with Urea bags were to be transported from Churachandpur to Molcham Village, two teams of SGN-PS led by SI M. Minabanda Singh under the supervision of Insp. Ng. Anthony Suresh, OC/SGN-PS, acted quickly and intercepted 5(five) TATA Trucks between 01:00 am to 03:00 am on Thursday, the 9th of February on the bank of Imphal River on the side of Serou Ningthem Hiden, PS-Sugnu, Kakching District. And, in the absence of valid documents, the teams seized the trucks loaded with urea and arrested the truck drivers.
A case has been registered at Sugnu PS under FIR NO. 5(2) 2023 SGN-PS U/S 380/411/120-B/511 IPC & 7 EC Act. Interrogation of the drivers is underway to arrest their co-conspirators and to uncover the nexus behind this illegal transportation of urea.
The particulars of trucks seized, the number of urea bags, and their drivers are:
1. Tata truck B/Regn. No.NL 11 1514, White in color driven by Lamminjohn Mate (22 years), s/o Jangkhongam Mate of Thinghangjang Village, PO&PS- Churachandpur, Churachandpur District, Manipur. The truck was loaded with 270 bags of Urea (fertilizer),
(2) Tata truck B/Regn. No. MN 01 9394, driven by Ngamkhohao Haokip (32 years) S/o Jankmang Haokip of Govajang village, Sangaikot-PS, Churachandpur District, A/P Mahou Tampak Village, Sangaikot-PS, Churachandpur District. It was loaded with 300 bags of Urea (fertilizer),
(3) Tata truck B/Regn. No. MN 02 5636 driven by Manglunlal Zou (30 years), S/o Genlamthang Zou of Singngat Village, PO&PS-Singngat, Churachandpur District. It was loaded with 310 bags of Urea (fertilizer),
(4) Tata truck B/Regn. No. MN 07 3751 driven by Ginneilal Zou (27 years), S/o Khamzalian Zou of Aina Village, Henglep-PS, Churachandpur District. It was loaded with 280 bags of Urea (fertilizer), and
(5) Tata truck B/Regn. No. MN 06T 0289 driven by Seigoulun Baite (22 years), S/o Paokai Baite of P. Gamnomjang Village, Churachandpur-PS, Churachandpur District. It was loaded with 275 bags of Urea (fertilizer).
