CRPF cadre caught while planting grenade, local bodies condemned the act

A CRPF personnel was caught by locals while he was allegedly planting a grenade while renovation work was going on for Jadonang Memorial site at Puiluan village under Nungba sub-division on Saturday.

The Nungba Area Village Authority Association (NAVAA), RNCM Luangba Luangrian, RNLPM Luangba Luangrian, RNSOM Luangba Luangrian and NAJAC condemn the planting of deadly explosive bomb on 24th September 2022 by one CRPF Personnel Thiyam Ashok Singh of 87 Bn CRPF at the behest of 39 Assam Rifles Nungba Outpost at Puiluanh (Kambiron), a revered historical village of National Freedom Fighter Haipou Jadonang.

The local bodied said “this is the fourth (04th) consecutive incident of planting Bomb in Nungba Area during the last 4 years with no reason known and all stage managed devised and engineered drama of Assam Rifles”.

“Such act of terrorism is outdated, a crime against society and humanity and gross violation of human right. The conspiracy of the Indian Security forces still haunts and has no room in present society”, the statement said.

Further the statement said “planting Bomb in a peace zone trying to create fears, tensions and mistrust, only to get ‘good boy’ comment from their higher officer is an absolute act of cowardice and foolishness having no space in advanced society”.
