Laishram Rameshwor Murder Case: RTI Activist Joykumar Remanded Judicial Custody

CJM Thoubal remanded RTI Activist and Advocate Wahengbam Joykumar (52 years) S/O Late Birmu of Wangkhei Hijam Leikai to judicial custody today in connection with the murder of Laishram Rameshwor Convenor of BJP Manipur Pradesh Ex-servicemen Cell on January 24.

On the news that the accused was producing to the court, JAC against the murder of Rameshwor and women of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai stormed at the court and hailed slogans - "Accused Wahengbam Joykumar shouldn't be released on bail," "Give capital punishment to Joykumar who used RTI as a means of earning," "Punish Joykumar the mastermind of Rameshwor murder," etc.

Khumanthem Sumo Devi, President of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Meira Paibi Lup expressed to the media that the statement of Ayekpam Romila wife of Prime accused Ayekpam Keshworjit on print media is baseless and unintelligible. Expressing their suspicion over Romila's involvement in the murder following her recent statement, the lady also drew the attention of the authorities concerned to bring justice on the matter.
