Main Accused Of Rameshwor Murder Case Send To Jail

Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Thoubal yesterday jailed prime accused Ayekpam Keshworjit and his driver Naorem Ricky Pointing alias Amu in connection with the murder case of BJP Manipur Pradesh Ex-Servicemen Cell Convenor Laishram Rameshwor of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai occurred on January 24 near his residence.

Prime accused Keshworjit was send to jail under judicial remand while his driver Naorem Ricky Pointing was granted bail by the Court but he was send to jail due to insufficient document. Both of them had been remanded 13 days police custody by the court on 25 January for investigation on the case taken up by Thoubal Police.

Hearing their produce on the court, womenfolk of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai stormed the court and hailed slogans - " Punished murderer Keshworjit ", " Keshworjit shouldn't be released on Bail ", " Chargesheet should be filed immediately ", " Punished the murderer ".

At the hearing conducted yesterday at Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Thoubal, Additional Public Prosecutor M. Jamuna Devi submitted the report of Investigation Officer of the case to the Court and prayed to remand both of them for judicial custody, regarding the report submitted by the IO of the case she proved that both Keshworjit and his driver is guilty.

On the other hand learned counsel of driver Naorem Ricky Pointing prayed to the court to clear him off all charges stating that he is innocent and has no knowledge of the ploy and the happening was just a coincidence as Ricky was neighbor of Keshworjit and Ricky asked Keshworjit to teach him how to long drive on Keshworjit's new car and they both drive to Thoubal.

Hearding the prayer and argument of both side CJM remanded Prime Accused Keshworjit for Judicial Custody and his driver Ricky Pointing was released on bail but he was send to jail due to insufficient documents for surety bond.
