Ningel Eviction: Two Allegedly Illegal Houses on Government Land Razed

SDO Thoubal evicted two houses illegally built on the state land today at Ningel Village under SDO Thoubal.

SDO Thoubal sent prior notices and ordered the owners to remove their structures built allegedly illegally on government land. However, on their refusal to comply, SDO Thoubal brought two JCBs and demolished the houses under tight security.

The evicted structures belonged to Paolum Vaiphei, S/O (Late Khup Konei and Jangneilum Vaiphei, S/O (Late) Nekha of Phouoibi Village.

On 22nd September Mayengbam Ranjita, SDO - Thoubal, sent a notice to the two owners to demolish the houses on or before 27th September by 9.30 am. And upon failure or refusal of any kind, the state would take up the action on its own.

Representing the side of the government in the eviction drive, Mayengbam Ranjita - SDO Thoubal said that the eviction was carried out under the instruction of the government. And, if anybody happens to have built or constructed a house or a building or any other structure illegally on government land, they should remove or demolish the structures by themselves. And upon refusal to comply, the state shall demolish it in its way.
