Thoubal DC Orders Compulsory Installation of CCTV's at Medical Stores in Thoubal

Thoubal District Magistrate, A. Subhash Singh, IAS, has ordered on Tuesday that all the medical stores in Thoubal District to sell Scheduled H&X drugs must install CCTV Cameras in their premises, under section 133 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
The order furthers that violation of the order will be strongly dealt with as per law.
The Scheduled H Drug and Schedule X drugs are the 'restrictive drugs,' which are restricted under the Drugs and Cosmetic Act and Rules.
The list of Schedule X drugs includes over 536 drugs. While Schedule X drugs include Narcotic and Psychotropic drugs, which cause delusion, hallucination, psychosis, sedation, and hypnosis.
