Two Stolen Vehicles Recovered from Phoudel Moirangpalli; Carjackers Arrested

As part of the District Police’s continuous drive against carjacking, a combined team of CDO/TBL led by Inspt. K. Nitaranjan Singh OC Commando Unit, Thoubal under the supervision of Jogeshchandra Haobijam, SSP, Thoubal, recovered two stolen vehicles from the residence of one Md. Nawaz Khan @ Baboy (26 yrs), s/o Md. Firoz of Phouden Moirangpalli on Tuesday morning. They also arrested Md. Nawaz, on the charge of carjacking.
On receiving reliable information about the concealment of stolen vehicles at Phouden Moirangpalli under Yairipok PS, the combined team rushed to the residence of Nawaz and found the following vehicles concealed inside the residence.
1. one Hero Pulsar black in colour without Regd. number, and
2. one Royal Enfield Interceptor, Mark 2 Chrome in colour bearing Regd. No. MN04G-4971.
The team also arrested Md. Nawaz Khan at 8:25 am in the connection and seized the vehicles after verification from his possession.
Further, on the disclosure of Md. Nawaz Khan, the combined team got another accomplice involved in the carjacking, namely, Md. Rahamat (27 yrs), s/o Md. Majid Khan of Phouden Moirangpalli at 08:40 am from his residence.
The two persons arrested and the seized vehicles have been handed over to Yairipok PS and a vehicle theft case has been registered for further necessary action.
