Chief Minister Along with mass Crowd Vowed to Safeguard the Integrity of Manipur and India

Attending the state-level celebration of 76th Independence Day which marks the 75 years of Indian Independence Chief Minister N. Biren expressed that it was a great delight to witness the enthusiasm among the crowds at the Independence Day celebration.

Chief Minister asserted India become a superpower under the able and dedicated leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that it is a matter of pride that a very diverse nation like India can progress so fast. CM continued that the rapid development of India is enabled by the nationalism and unity which resides in each Indian. CM said that Manipur is a mini-India inhabited by more than 32 ethnic groups which for the past 2000 years was reigned by around 400 Meidingus (Kings).

CM was also persuaded to strengthen the bond of communal harmony between the community living in the state. CM along with the crowds also vowed to safeguard the integrity of India and Manipur. He asserted that he will not let anyone challenge the unity and integrity of Manipur as long as the blood runs through his veins. The Chief Minister also appeals to the citizens to leave the narrow mindset of vested interest and to come forward and work for a better and greater India and Manipur. CM ended his speech by hailing the slogan "Manipur Emana Yaiphare" , "Bharat Emana Yaiphare", "Jai Ema Manipur", and "Jai Ema Bharat".

Earlier on the same day before attending any event of Independence Day the Chief Minister extended his greetings and wishes to the people and paid homage to the freedom fighters of the nation for their sacrifices and contributions.

Taking to Facebook the Chief Minister said “Wishing everyone a happy 76th Independence Day. I salute the freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to the freedom struggle. Let’s remember their sacrifices and continue to work together to build a self-reliant and modern New India. Jai Hind”.

On the eve of Independence Day, the Chief Minister also flagged off a motorbike rally from Imphal to Mao at Hapta Kangjeibung as part of the Har GharTiranga movement. Several ministers, MLAs, and dignitaries were present at the event.
