Sambit Patra appointed as BJP coordinator of North-East States

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday appointed the new team of party’s in-charges and co-charges for states.

Senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and national party spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra appointed as coordinator of the North east states. Party leader Rituraj Sinha is appointed as Joint coordinator with immediate effect.

Taking to Facebook, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said “My best wishes to Shri Dr. Sambit Patra Ji on being appointed as the In charge of the North-East States. We will continue to work together to fulfil the aspirations of the people of this region”.

According to official statement, former Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb will be the in-charge of Haryana, former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani to be the in-charge of Punjab-Chandigarh, former Bihar Minister Mangal Pandey to be the in-charge of West Bengal, and Sambit Patra to be the coordinator of the northeast states and the party’s national secretary Rituraj Sinha will be joint-coordinator.

Union ministers Prakash Javadekar and Mahesh Sharma were also appointed for organisational work and were made the in-charges of party affairs in different states.
