CM Invites Mothers of Ima Keithel to lead in initiating peaceful dialogue with insurgents
Assures a means of livelihood to every household in Manipur

Imphal HY News: In an attempt for another landmark reformation for the state, CM N. Biren while attending the reception program organized by women of Ima Keithel on Monday appeals to the mother to lead in bringing overall peace and normalcy. CM lauded the contributions of our Mothers in bringing constructive change in our society in any upheaval situations, citing the infamous 1st and 2nd Historic Nupi Lal. He appeals to the mothers of Ima Keithel to join him in his initiatives to have a coherent dialogue with insurgent groups to resurrect overall peace in the state.
While noting the everyday unrest situation prevailing before the BJP government and the political turmoil that the mothers faced in its struggle to repeal AFSPA 1958, the CM expressed that, the BJP central leaders without waiting for any protest have repealed AFSPA from the jurisdiction covering 9 Police stations.
The CM also expresses that the state government will survey every household about the status of its economic sustainability. For any family without any source of income, the government will provide a means of livelihood under the scheme "One family one Livelihood mission"- which the government is planning to implement in its "100 tasks in 100 days" goal.
The reception program was organized by Mothers of Ima Keithel and was attended by his other cabinet ministers and MLAs— Thongam Biswajit Singh, Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Govindas Konthoujam, MLA Sushildro (Yaima) amongst others.
In its first flagship program of the "100 Tasks in 100 days" goal- the BJP Cabinet has resolved to make Manipur drug-free, and corruption-free and to pursue lasting peace for the State by reaching out to various armed groups operating in the region.
