Supports pour in after the 11 years old Manipuri girl attending class babysitting her little brother boy is going viral on social media
Needless to say, education is one of the key components of an individual’s success. It can shape one’s life in the right direction. Education is a process of imparting or acquiring knowledge and developing the powers of reasoning and judgment. It prepares oneself or others intellectually for mature life. It improves not only the personal life of the people but also their community. Thus, one cannot neglect the significance of Education in life and society.
One example of it is a 10-year-old girl in Manipur, who has portrayed going to school while babysitting her sister in her lap. A photograph of Meiningsinliu Pamei, a student of Class 4, attending classes while babysitting her sister has gone viral on social media. The picture has drawn the attention of CM N. Biren and Power, Forest, and Environment Minister Th. Biswajit Singh amongst many others.
CM wrote on his Twitter account on the day the photo went viral touching many hearts, "I have sent a team of Childline Service Tamenglong (CLST) to visit the family of the young girl who took the internet by storm today and discussed a way forward to extend help under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme. As an immediate relief, some rations including rice, dal, potatoes, oil, etc. have been provided by the Childline today."
CM also appreciates his cabinet colleagues for reaching out to this family with great compassion and generous assistance for the little girl.
Vowing to support the girl, the minister Th Biswajit also tweeted: “Her dedication to education is what left me amazed! This 10-year-old girl named Meiningsinliu Pamei from Tamenglong, Manipur attends school babysitting her sister, as her parents were out for farming and studies while keeping her younger sister in her lap.”
Apart from the government officials civil society, individuals, and students organization have also reached out to the family of the children.
Rongmei Naga Students' Organization Manipur (RNSOM) team led by its President Mr. Daichui Gangmei visited and lauded miss Meiningsinliu Pamei, a student of Class 1 at Dailong Primary School, Tamenglong.
Daichui Gangmei, President RNSOM said in the press briefing, "We have the best CM who is willing to support everything good for the people of the state. Our Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri N Biren Singh had conveyed his gratitude and praise her for her extraordinary zeal despite difficulties and assure all possible help."
Daichui Gangmei continued, "She set the best example to the children and students of the contemporary world that poverty and lack of opportunities cannot stop anyone from chasing their dreams."
The president also lauded that her passion for studies is extraordinary and she beats all her challenges and hardships. she is the proof to the entire world that poverty and lack of opportunities cannot stop pursuing dreams".
RNSOM declared to freely adopt & support them throughout her career (lifetime) for her extraordinary passion & commitment to studies, and for setting an example to the present society.
The RNSOM President Team also gifted an amount of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) to the family as a token of appreciation and love. RNSOM assured to provide every support to Meiningsinliu Pamei siblings also.
Many social media users extend their appreciation for Government's prompt action toward the girl and the family.
One FB user Keisham Pradipkumar wrote, "Great thanks to HCM N Biren Singh and HM Th. Biswajit Singh for reaching out to the two CNCPs of Dailong. Her issue might have been resolved .. thanked God."

He requested to assess whether the Anganwadi Centre in Dailong village is functional, or nonexistent, and urge to make it functional, so that the younger child could play at Anganwadi Centre eating nutritional foods.
He futher questioned, "How the RTE Act implementation is doing there? How the teachers are working there?"
He also further appeals for a holistic approach to reform, revive and revamp to the concerned authority by tagging CM N. Biren and Minister Th Biswajit.
In his FB post, CM N. Biren from his official account responded, "That is the reason why our government started One family one Livelihood mission".
