Jeet Kune Do Players from Manipur with Their Coaches

In a proud moment for India and Manipur, Jeet Kundo Players from Manipur bagged 12 golds and 1 silver at the 2nd World Jeet Kune Do Championship – 2023 and clinched the 1st Runners Up Position in the Championship held at Provincial Sports Complex-Digana, Kandy, Sri Lanka from March 10 12 to March 12.


A press release from Sh. Surjit Sharma, Joint Secretary - Jeet Kune -Do Association of Manipur (JKAM) stated that Singamayum Tajbanu won the gold medal in Championship under Female of +19 yrs. -60kg Light Contact (LC) category, while Moirangthem Linthoi Chanu won two golds in Female of            -19yrs. -50kg L.C and Weapon Form.


In Men’s Senior Amarjit Seram (Under Male +19yrs. -55 kg LC category), Samom Kenedy Singh (Under Male +19yrs. -60kg. L.C),  Sinam Chrisy (Under Male -19yrs, -60kg. LC),  Teenison Arubam (Male -19yrs. -65kg. L.C) bagged a gold medal each. While Laishram Dinesh Singh won a silver medal under Male +19yrs. -65kg. LC Category.


While Anushree Rajkumari (in Junior Girls Female -17yrs. -46kg. L.C), Sinibas Irom (in Sub. jr. Boys Male -14yrs. -39kg. L.C), and Lanchenba N. (in Sub. jr. Boys Male -14yrs. 51kg. LC) clinched a gold medal each.


And in Female Children, Mercy Laishram and Male Children Bubusana N. won a gold medal each in Female -10yrs. -20kg. L.C., and in Male -10yrs. -24kg. L.C respectively.
