Khangabok A/C: Jadumani Likely to Join JD(U); Says Forget Absolute Majority, BJP Won’t Even Get 10 Seats
Thoubal, 30th January 2022: Jadumani, BJP intending candidate declared that he has resigned from the primary membership of BJP and is all set to join JD(U) and fight the election. He said the statement today in a joint meeting of all the booth mandals at his residence.
Addressing his supporters, Thokchom Jadumani, the intending candidate said he joined BJP in 1994 and has since been working for the party as secretary and vice president. He has no regrets about dropping his name when the BJP tickets were announced on Sunday. But his trust that BJP has strict moral principles and that the party is popular has been belied.
He farced that the way BJP allot its ticket to a candidate whom no one in the 47 booths supports is metaphorical of the fact that BJP won’t be able to win even 10 seats. Forget about getting the absolute majority, he said. However, on the other side, he asserted that people of his constituency keep insisting on him to contest the election on whatever condition, he will join JD(U) and contest the election.
Laishram Tomba Khuman, President-BJP Khangabok Mandal, Vice-President, President, Minority Morcha, and Presidents and members of 47 Booths in Khangabok jointly decided to retire from the primary membership at a meeting held at the residence of Thokchom Jadumani at Khangabok Khullakpam Leikai.
Since every member submitted their resignations from the booth mandals, the President alone can’t exercise the Mandal, he is dissolving all the mandals, said Laishram Tomba Khuman, the president of Khangabok Mandal.
