Govt Invites Inputs on IT Rules via OTP-Based Portal

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has invited feedback from stakeholders on income tax rules and related forms under the proposed Income Tax Bill, 2025.

To facilitate this, CBDT launched an OTP-validated utility link on the e-filing portal, aiming to enhance clarity, reduce compliance burdens, and eliminate outdated regulations.The suggestions gathered will be compiled and forwarded to the Select Committee currently examining the Bill in Parliament.

The Income Tax Bill, 2025, was introduced in Parliament and is currently under examination by the Select Committee for detailed consideration. These suggestions on the provisions of the Bill will be compiled and forwarded to the Select Committee for review.
