Romi Meitei Wins Best Director, Bishesh Huirem Bags Special Jury Award in 5th Sailadhar Baruah Film Awards Award

In the 5th Sailadhar Baruah Film Awards (NE) 2022, Romi Meitei won Best Director Award for the film ‘Eikhoigi Yum’. Bishesh Huirem who acted in the film ‘Apaiba Leichil’ bagged Special Jury Award while Master Priyojit of ‘Eikhoigi Yum’ named Jury Special Mention Award.
Johni Meitei and Kangabam Bikram of the film ‘Eikhoigi Yum’ won Best Cinematography Award.
Khasi film Iewduh, directed by Pradip Kurbah from Meghalaya and produced by Sankar Lall Goenka, has won the Best Film award. The film won four awards, including Best Actor and Best Screenwriting Award.
The Award ceremony will be held on January 10 at Rudra Barua Auditorium Jyoti Chitraben Studio, Kahilipara, Guwahati.
Acclaimed filmmaker Padmashri Aribam Syam Sharma,and renowned actor Arun Nath will attend the function as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
