'The Departed Dawn’ of Ashoka Theatre bagged 3 awards at 18th Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Academics

'The Departed Dawn’, the theatre production of Akhoka Theatre, Kontha Khabam Chumbreithong Imphal East in collaboration with Theatre Village Nepal, Kathmandu bagged 3 awards at 18th Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Academics held in New Delhi.
At the META festival, the play was nominated in 6 categories namely Best Sound Innovative, Best Light Design, Best Choreography, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Play. Out of the 6 categories 'The Departed Dawn' have begged 3 awards, Moirangthen Biseshwar Singh as the best sound innovative Award, Victor Thoudam as best choreography award and best actor award.
Out of the 400 plays entry only 10 plays were selected and competed in 13 categories. The META festival took place from 23rd March to 28th March in New Delhi at Shri Ram Centre and Kamani Auditorium.
