President Droupadi Murmu launches 'herSTART’ - a start-up platform for women entrepreneurs

President Droupadi Murmu launches a start-up platform for women entrepreneurs created by Gujarat University on Tuesday. `HerStart' is an initiative of the varsity for women entrepreneurs.
President also laid the foundation stone for various projects related to education and tribal development at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad. HerSTART is one of the flagship programmes of Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC) which seeks to support women entrepreneurs during their entrepreneurial endeavours.
National Public Broadcaster AIR reported that the President lauded Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat’s efforts toward spreading awareness about natural farming among farmers. “Farmers of Gujarat have come up with several successful experiments in the field of agriculture development. She said, Gujarat holds a 20 per cent share in National Agriculture Produce”, the President said.
President Droupadi Murmu is on her first visit to Gujarat after becoming president. On Monday she inaugurated or laid foundation stones of projects worth Rs 1,330 crore at a function in Gandhinagar.
