UPSC Prelims 2023: Alternate arrangement made for candidates opted for Imphal Centres

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has decided to offer alternate centres to candidates of Manipur's Imphal centre of Civil Services (Preliminary) examination 2023 after reviewing the situation in Manipur.

An official notice released by the UPSC said “after carefully reviewing the situation in the state of Manipur in consultation with the state administration, the Commission has decided to offer following alternate Centres to the candidates of the Imphal (Manipur) Centre pf the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023, which is to be held on 28th May, 2023”.

The alternate centres are Aizawl in Mizoram, Kohima in Nagaland, Shillong in Meghalaya, Dispur and Jorhat in Assam, Kolkata in West Bengal and Delhi.

The centre change option will be available to the candidates of Imphal centre through the Interactive Voice Response System, IVRS facility. UPSC said, a message in this regard will be sent to each candidate on their registered mobile number.

A candidate can also reach office of any district administration in Manipur to contact UPSC on telephone numbers- 23070641, 23381073 and 23387876 from 12 noon today till 5 PM on Friday.

The fresh e-Admit Cards will be available on UPSC's website. These e-Admit Cards will also be available at the State Headquarters as well as District Headquarters for collection by the candidates. The e-Admit Cards will also be delivered at the residences of the candidates through post offices.
