15 parties have decided to fight 2024 Lok Sabha polls together

The opposition leaders meeting in Patna has concluded and it is reported that 15 parties have decided to fight 2024 Lok Sabha polls together. The meeting was hosted by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar (JDU) and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav (RJD).

Leaders of at least 15 Opposition parties including the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Trinamool Congress (TMC), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Shiv Sena (UBT), Samajwadi Party (SP), Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), and others attended the grand meeting in Patna led by Bihar chief minister and Janata Dal (United) JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar.

Nitish Kumar thanked all leaders present as they addressed the media after the conclusion of the meeting.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said "it is a battle of ideologies. Indeed, there will be differences amongst us but we have decided to work together and protect the ideologies shared by us”.

At opposition meeting press conference, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said "this is not a quest for power, but a battle of ideology”.

Reacting to the opposition leaders meeting, BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani said political parties which never saw eye to eye came together today- this selfish alliance came wants to deprive India of economic development.
