Kwakta bomb blast case transferred to NIA as it pertains to the National Security

The bomb blast case of 21st June in the adjoining area of Kwakta and Phougakchao Ikhai Awang Leikai area of Bishnupur district has been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). At least three civilians were injured after an SUV parked at a culvert exploded.
A release by the Police Control Room, Manipur Police said “since, involvement of insurgents operating in the state and across the border in the abovementioned case is suspected, the case is being transferred to NIA in the interest of National Security”.
