VDF Missing Case: Body of VDF Personnel Ningombam Premananda found at Chandel's Levanant Village

Teams of Thoubal District Police found the body of VDF N. Premananda, on Friday, at Levanant Village in Chandel district itself.

The team headed by Additional SP (Ops) Wangkhomba of Thoubal District Police came across the body in the village, not very far from the place where the combined security personnel stationed on 16th January to serve their war on drugs duty.

OC Chakpikarong and his teams are watching over the body at the very spot for due formalities on Saturday, a source added.

Notably, VDF N. Premananda went to destroy the poppy plantation at Urantop Chingmai, on 16th January as part of the state's ongoing War on Drugs 2.0. However, the concerned department reported the family of his missing on 21st January. The state had been unable to find out the whereabouts of the missing VDF personnel.
