INC Manipur candidates take loyalty pledge

Ahead of Assembly Elections in Manipur, candidates of Indian National Congress (INC) on Thursday took pledge to remain loyal to the party and seek divine blessings at various prominent temples, churches and Mosque of Manipur.

The candidates further pledged that they will work honestly if they are elected in the upcoming polls. Opposition leader and former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi, Congress President N. Loken Singh, General Secy Hareshwar Goswami, Congress leader Gaikhangam, Mirabai, O. Joy, K. Mehgachandra and several candidates for the upcoming state polls were present.

The candidates visited and seek blessings at historical Kangla Fort,  Centre Church Chingmeirong, Sanamahi Laishang, Babupara Mosque and Shri Govindaji Temple.

Manipur will go to the Assembly polls on February 27 and March 3. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
