Joint Force Destroys 50 Acres of Illegal Poppy Cultivation in Kangpokpi

A joint team comprising Kangpokpi District Police, CRPF, the Forest Division Kangpokpi, and the SDC Saikul Block carried out a successful poppy destruction drive along the river banks of Ethoi in Somphung village, Lhungtin subdivision under Saikul Police Station. 

The operation, part of ongoing efforts in the war against drugs, resulted in the eradication of 50 acres of illegal poppy plants.

Despite the significant impact of the drive, no arrests have been made. Authorities have registered an FIR and are conducting further investigations into the illegal cultivation activities.
