The Thadou Inpi Manipur (TIM) and Meitei Alliance organizations have come under sharp criticism from within the Kuki community over their planned joint press conference. A strong statement issued by the United Kuki National Army (UKNA) and other Kuki representatives has condemned the move, citing ongoing suffering and casualties among the Kuki people.
The statement calls for the immediate withdrawal of the press conference before 12 PM on March 7, 2025, warning of severe consequences if the event proceeds. The UKNA has explicitly stated that those involved will not be allowed to live within Kuki territories should they disregard the warning.
