5 Including 2 Working In Central Forces Arrested For Poaching Birds Along With The Arms And Car

Thoubal Forest Division arrested 5 person including 2 working in the Central Forces were arrested for poaching birds along with their arms and a Maruti Swift. All of them are residents of Lilong Chingkham of Thoubal District.
The sources cited that under the supervision of DFO Thoubal Forest Division Th. Lokendra staffs of Thoubal Range and it's beat offices conducted drive from early morning of December 4 with objectives of conserving and safeguarding migratory birds from illegal poaching. When the drive was being conducted within the premises of Ikop pat at Tentha area, a reliable information of poaching birds by some unknown miscreants in car at Khangabok area of the lake is passed to them and they immediately rushed to the spot and arrest them.
DFO Th. Lokendro expressed that the arms and Maruti Swift bearing registration number MNO7D 4626 are seized from the poachers and the items will be held in the custody of Thoubal Forest Division and necessary actions will be taken under due law and procedure. Sources also confirmed that 2 from the 5 arrested are currently working in the central forces.
The arrested were identified as Md. Amir Hasan (32) S/O Md. Ahamad Ali, Md Hasan (30) S/O Abdur Salam, Md. Azaharuddin (21) S/O Abdur Salam, Md. Ahamad Hasan (30) S/O Abdur Salam and Md. Farid Khan (33) S/O Md. Abdul Karim of Lilong Chingkham, Thoubal District.
