Earlier, the Manipur Cyber Crime Police have arrested a teacher for allegedly leaking the Class 12 Physics question paper, following a complaint filed by the Controller of Examination, COSEM.
An FIR (No. 6(03)2025 CCPS) was registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Manipur, after a photograph of the leaked question paper circulated on March 3, 2025. A swift investigation, led by the Officer-in-Charge of Cyber Crime PS under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crime, traced the leak to Maibam Sunil Singh (33), a Physics teacher at Paradise English School, Thoubal, and an AOC Exam Centre official. He also runs a private hostel.
Sunil Singh was arrested on March 3, 2025, after completing all legal formalities. Police seized a mobile phone from him as part of the investigation.
The case comes under the Prevention of Malpractices in High School Leaving Certificate and Higher Secondary Examination Act, 2024, which was recently published by the Manipur government to curb exam-related misconduct. Authorities have assured strict action to uphold the integrity of the examination system, with further investigations ongoing.
