Minor Girl Murdered in Churachandpur: Silence from Authorities and Health Centre Raises Questions

A minor girl, identified as Mandeihkim, daughter of Niangsiankhup @ Sennu, was allegedly murdered by unidentified miscreants in Lanva TD Block, Churachandpur. The incident took place on the evening of March 20 at around 6:30 PM.
According to local reports, injury marks were found on her neck, and bloodstains were visible at the scene, suggesting that she may have been subjected to torture and sexual assault before being killed. However, questions have arisen regarding the silence of the concerned authorities and the Primary Health Centre, which have not disclosed the details of her injuries or the cause of death.
Several organizations, including the Zomi Mother's Association (ZMA) and Young Vaiphei Association (YVA), Haupi Block, have strongly condemned the brutal murder. They have expressed deep sorrow and extended their solidarity with the grieving family and friends of Mandeihkim.
YVA, Haupi Block, has urged law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the nature of the crime and ensure that those responsible are swiftly brought to justice. "We demand transparency from the authorities regarding the details of her injuries and cause of death. The perpetrators must be held accountable, and justice must be served," the organization stated.
As the community mourns the tragic loss, they seek answers from the authorities on why crucial information regarding the crime has not been made public.
