Manipur schools to begin from 9 am from November 21

The timing of Manipur schools has been modified, as per a new notification issued by the Education (S) Department, Government of Manipur on Thursday.
According to the notification issued by the Deputy Secretary, Education (S) Department, ‘school timing to start from 9 am in place of 8 am, from November 21, 2022 to January 31, 2023.
Earlier, in a notification issued by the Directorate of Education (Schools), Government of Manipur stated the school hours of the State Government/Aided /Private schools across the state will start at 8 am with effect from April 1.
As per the notification, the school timing for Pre-Primary classes is from 8 am till 10 am. It will be from 8 am till 12.30 pm for Primary (I-V); 8 am till 1:15 pm for Upper Primary (VI-VIII) and 8 am till 2:15 pm for Secondary and Higher Secondary (IX-XII ), it added.
