National Florence Nightingale Award Presented to Wairokpam Hemabati, Female Health Supervisor, Lilong PHC

President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu today presented Florence Nightingale Award for the year 2021 to the nursing profession in recognition of their work at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Smt Wairokpam Hemabati, Female Health Supervisor, Lilong PHC, and two other nurses from the State were awarded by the President along with other awardees from the country. She has served the people of the District for more than three decades with great dedication, commitment, enthusiasm, compassion, and professionalism. She has also implemented various National health programs in the unreachable part of Manipur. As a real Covid warrior she took a great part in fighting the Pandemic along with others. She has been promoted and is now serving as District Health Nursing Officer at DH Kakching. In recognition of her work, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India presented the award to her.
National Florence Nightingale Award was constituted in 1973 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India as a mark of recognition for the meritorious services rendered by nurses and nursing professionals to society.
