Population of Chandonpokpi Plead for Normalcy to Restore; "Central Government's inaction is a Plot to kills Us" Alleged Public

Chandonpokpi, June 10- The population of Chandonpokpi Village of Bishnupur District pleads with both the central and state government for normalcy to be restored in Manipur at the earliest. They seek to live their normal lives after this moth long violence in State. They also asserted that the moratorium of SoO would replace normalcy from this current turmoil and aggravation.
Chandonpokpi is a village in the Bishnupur District situated on the bank of the Imphal River bordering Churachandpur District. The village is neighbored by several Kuki Villages. Outbreaks of Violence and clash erupted on the 3rd of May between the two communities, regarding the sense of neighborhood and brotherhood the leaders and Chiefs of neighboring villages of both communities come to an understanding to live in peace and not to engage in any activities that can disrupt peace in the region.
They alleged that on 28th May, Kuki violated the understanding and torched several houses in the Napat area and Chingya Leikai of Tangjeng and built several bunkers at Ibudhou Lok Ningthou Ching by Kuki Militants.
Bullets and gun firing from the said bunkers claimed the lives of three innocent Tangjeng civilians and injured several of Tangjeng and Chandonpokpi. Manipur Police CDO takes strict security measures in the area to prevent further happenings.
Secretary of Chandonpokpi Chingya Youth Ningthoujam Chakravarti expressed to the media that despite the deployment of central forces like Indo Tibetan Border Police and CRPF in the Tangjeng area and Chandonpokpi, Kuki militants stayed in their bunkers, security forces know their presence yet no measures are taken up to drive out these armed militants with sophisticated lethal weapons. The presence of militants in adjoining areas made many populations restless and forced them to live in fear. Many abandoned their houses and run to a safer place. He also asserted that the suspension of SoO with Kuki militants can bring normalcy in the state swiftly, if not other restoration measures can't solve this crisis and restore normalcy in the state. He also urges the authority to remove or destroy the bunkers built by Kuki Militants in the adjoining areas of the villages and also expressed his word of discontent with the inaction of the authority, he also told that people are very apprehensive that if there is any hidden agenda or policy of the centre in this crisis regarding their inaction and tolerance on the situation. They alleged that the central government's inaction is a plan to kill their community through this ethnic crisis.
