Home Minister Amit Shah along with Chief Minister N. Biren, Minister of State Nityanand Rai, and National Spokesperson BJP Sambit Patra held a press conference at the CM Secretariat on Thursday.
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah concluded his four days visit to violence-hit Manipur this morning. The minister has said that the decision given by the High Court of Manipur on March 27 which directed the State Government to recommend the inclusion of Meetei/Meitei in the Scheduled Tribes list of India is the main reason behind the violence in Manipur.

Before leaving Imphal, the Union Home Minister convened a press conference at CM Secretariat Imphal. He lamented the loss of lives and properties due to the violence in Manipur and assured that the central government will take up necessary arrangements to control the violence and provide relief to the affected family. He said the directive of the High Court of Manipur and misunderstanding among the communities are the main reasons for the eruption of violence in the State.

The Union Minister said that the violence incidents that occurred in Manipur will be investigated by a committee headed by a retired Chief Justice of a High Court. Mentioning the decision taken during the cabinet meeting held on Monday evening, Shri Shah said that ex gratia of rupees ten lahks each for the deceased will be transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). A special relief package for those injured and affected families will be announced by the Home Ministry very soon. He said that the Kuki militants under Suspension of Operation (SoO) have been directed to follow the ground rule strictly and appropriate action will be taken if these militants are found violating the ground rules.

The Union Home Minister assured that the necessary commodities including rice, vegetables, and others will be brought to the State. To facilitate the transportation of these goods through railways, a railway platform is under construction now at Khongsang Railways Station in Tamenglong district Manipur. The platform will be functional within a week and eight teams of medical experts will arrive in Manipur to improve the healthcare system, especially for those taking shelter at different relief camps, he said.
It may be mentioned that the violence incidents have drastically reduced in the State since the Union Home Minister arrived in Imphal and initiated peace dialogue with the leaders of different civil societies of Manipur

The government is committed to restoring peace in Manipur as soon as possible and ensuring the return of refugees to their homes, Union home minister Amit Shah said on Monday, completing the third day of his trip to the strife-torn state by visiting border regions and talking to groups on both sides of the ethnic divide.
Shah further that in the last month, Manipur is in turmoil, and we pray for peace and not to lose any more lives. In these three days,
Home Minister said, "I have met different sections of people from all communities. In different parts of Manipur, Imphal, Moreh, Kangpoki, and Churchandpur I have visited and talked with different state holders. I have met with the cabinet minister and around 22 CSO and met around 50 CSO all together in these two days and talked about the means to bring peace and normalcy to the state. I have met with the Olympian and all the political parties of Manipur I have talked about the current situation. I have met with security forces for strengthening security to not lose any more lives."

20 double graduate doctors were appointed for Churachandpur, and 5 teams each have reached Churachandpur, Moreh, and Kangpoki today, said Shah.
Manipur students will not face any problems and will conduct online education and other means within two days assured Home Minister.
For a permanent solution, the Myanmar border has already started fencing all the border said Shah.

"The combing operation will start tomorrow, if they find any arms and ammunition, they will face a stringent outcome" warned Shah.
The investigation has already started and If SoO is found guilty of violating any rule of agreement, then they will face stringent action, said Shah.
