Chingkheinganbi case: 15 days later the FSL report says the cause of death is Poisoning

HY News: On April 21 Samom Ningol Ningthoujam Ongbi Chingkheinganbi was found dead in a mysterious condition at her in-law's house, after 15 days a report from Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) declares that the death was caused by poisoning.

The Father of the victim Shanjit conveyed that his daughter often suffered domestic violence at the hands of her husband Bijando and his family
as a consequence, she got separated from Bijando and stayed at her parental home for three years.
After 3 years of separation, Bijando coaxed Chingkheinganbi back to his home, after which the unfortunate incident occurred on April 21st.
Sanjit also earlier alleged that Bijando made Chingkheinganbi cut off all contacts with her parental family.
About the fateful incident, the family was informed of her hospitalization by a neighbor.
The family contacted Bijando on the phone to inquire, who conveyed that Chingkheinganbi was taken to hospital due to poor health.
Bijando also said that he was in the courtyard when he was called inside the house by Chingkheinganbi.
When he entered, he found her collapsed on the ground as reported by Sanjit.

Sanjit further conveyed that according to Bijando, Chingkheinganbi was first taken to a doctor in Hiyangkhong who could not treat her.

She was then taken to Ragini Hospital in Yumnam Hospital and then to Raj Medicity after her condition got worse.

However, when they (Shanjit's family) visited Raj Medicity, they were informed that his daughter was brought dead to the hospital.

Sanjit immediately filed a complaint to Mayang Imphal Police the same day, raising suspicions over his daughter's death.

Mayang Imphal Police registered a UD case and a JAC was formed on April 22, after which the post-mortem examination was conducted at the RIMS morgue.

Stating that the family agreed to the post-mortem examination following assurances from the police to produce the post-mortem report within 7 days; Shanjit said that the police have failed to produce both the post-mortem report and the cause of his daughter's death till today.

Thus, he appealed to civil society and concerned authorities to help in revealing the truth behind his daughter's death.

According to Bijando the husband of the deceased said that Chingkheinganbi fainted while they were having the afternoon meal.
The entire family immediately rush to the hospital but she had passed away.

On the other side, the father of the victim recounted their claims of blaming his daughter's ill-health as baseless. The report said the cause of the dead is food poisoning- to that JAC and the family member appealed to probe the matter closely to bring justice to the case.
