Horasis Global India Business Meeting India Introduces Many Schemes for a Self-Reliant India; Aims to Make the State a USD 5 trillion economy: MOS Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh

In an interaction with the Indians during his visit to Vietnam, Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education said that India aims to turn the country's economy into a five Trillion. He also welcomed the participating business leaders to join in and benefit from India’s growth story.

The minister said the statement during his visit to Vietnam. He participated in Horasis Global India Business Meeting, co-hosted by Binh Duong Province (Vietnam) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). in Binh Doung New City, Vietnam from September 25-27, 2022.

Horasis, as an organization, creates platforms for partnership with corporations from emerging markets for cooperation between emerging and developed markets. Their flagship events include country-specific events like Horasis USA Meeting, Horasis Asia Meeting, and Horasis Global Meeting, apart from Horasis India Meeting. Since 2009, Horasis India Meetings have evolved into a platform for interaction between Indian business leaders and their global counterparts. The last two editions were held virtually.

While delivering his keynote address, MOS Dr. Singh appreciated that Horasis India Meeting had become an important economic forum for Indian business leaders and their global counterparts since its inception in 2009. It also gives a platform to discuss a wide range of sectors and strategize for their global ambitions. Talking about the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat,’' Mr. Singh highlighted the strides made by India on its way to achieving the target of making India a USD 5 trillion economy.

MOS Dr. Singh also interacted with Mr. Le Minh Khai, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, and reviewed the progress in bilateral relations under the guidelines set by the historic Joint Vision for Peace, Prosperity, and People adopted during the Bilateral Virtual Summit in December 2020. Vietnam remains an important pillar in our ‘Act East Policy and the ‘Indo-Pacific Vision". MOS Dr. Singh also met Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Party Secretary of Binh Duong Province, and Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Party Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City during the visit.

The Consulate General of India, Ho Chi Minh City, organized an interaction with the Indian Community in honor of the visiting MOS Dr. Singh. He highlighted various initiatives taken by the Government of India for the welfare of the Indian diaspora community during the interaction. He also assured them that Indian Missions abroad would always remain home away from home for all our Pravasi Bhartiya.
