RAF Unleashes Brutality over Meira Paibis; Attacks Women at Home with Shock Baton at Kakwa Manipur

RAF personnel unleashed its brutality over the Meira Paibis at Kakwa and hurt three women and a man at home at Kakwa Laishram Leikai Sopha Leirak on Thursday evening.

Of the three women, two young women have been hurt with electric shock baton. They been taken to hospital immediately as they have so much discomfort in breathing, unbearable pain and burning sensation in the stomach, and muscle contraction at the limb and stomach. The third woman (an elderly) has sprain in her wrist as the RAF Personnel broke open the door of her residence. The security personnel also badly assaulted a visiting friend of her son. He also has been taken hospital due to heavy injuries.

More than hundred tear gas shells were fired upon the gathering mothers in front of Kakwa Police Station and injured dozens of women. They also fired pallets towards the crowd and in between houses around at Kakwa, Imphal West, Manipur.

Same injuries and brutality were also reported from Porompat, Imphal East as the Combined team of Central and state forces used tear gas shells indiscriminately to disperse the gathering crowd of people.

Together, more than 40 sustained injuries on Thursday as the RAF personnel indiscriminately fired tear gas shells and pellets among the gathering crowd. They are getting treatment at JNIMs, RIMS and Raj Medicity Hosipital.

Hundreds and thousands of people including men and women in every locality in Imphal Valley stormed at their concerned Police Stations and demanded to arrest each one of them. The move was decided against the non-release of the Five Village forces arrested on September 16 on charge of alleged extortion, misuse of Police Uniforms, talthreats to the general public.

Earlier also, Langthabal Meira Paibis and a few other Organisations called for a 48 hours total shutdown in the connection.
