Unrest Continues: One killed Two Injured in Alleged Kuki Militants’ Attack in Manipur

A 27-year-old youth got killed and two others injured in an alleged Kuki militants attack at Kadangban area of Sekmai constituency, Imphal West.
Sources said the alleged Kuki Militants attacked Kadangban around 8.30 pm on Sunday killing a 27-year-old village volunteer force and injuring two others the same night. The exchange of fire continued till a little while after noon.
Meanwhile, locals along the Uripok-Kangchup road blocked the road to show their anguish and discontentment over the death of the 27-year-old volunteer against the Union and the state government.
A woman from a group of protestors stated that the Kuki attacked the village volunteer force at Kadangban area as soon as the combined security forces destroyed the bunkers on the side of the Meitei territory.
