Drone Surveys and Mass Frisking to be carried out; Sends 2000 Plus State Forces to Assist Central Forces in Removing Bunkers in all districts

CM N. Biren Singh chaired a joint security meeting with security personnel on Monday and resolved to implement some major steps to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur.

CM said that Indian Army will lead the operation of removing bunkers and will be assisted by 2000-plus state forces for full execution. 

He also said that the government has discussed possible ways to take up agricultural activities very soon in the state both for the hills and the valleys.

Further, he said that the posts of the Central forces are to be kept on the top of the hills. And patrolling and frisking of every passing vehicle be done both the hills and the valleys, added the CM.

Later, N. Biren Singh also appealed to people to surrender the snatched guns both in the valley and the hills.

On the other side, as part of the state government initiative for restoring normalcy in the state, the construction of 200 Prefabricated houses is in progress for Sajiwa Sites for the first phase of accommodation arrangements for displaced victims of Manipur's Crisis.
In response to the escalating violence that has forced people to flee their homes, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh announced on Monday a comprehensive plan to construct 3,000-4,000 pre-fabricated houses for those affected by the ongoing turmoil in the northeastern state.

During his visit to relief camps, Chief Minister Singh expressed his commitment to swiftly address the housing needs of the displaced individuals. These prefabricated houses, ready-made structures assembled at the designated locations, are expected to be completed within two months, offering temporary accommodation until permanent arrangements can be made to return them to their original dwellings.

He also extended gratitude to the Assam Rifles and other central Paramilitary forces for monitoring the ground situations and controlling the crisis from further escalation. 

Asking the representatives of the people to never disintegrate the state under any circumstances, he also advised CSOs to be very careful in releasing any provocative statement. He also told the media and others to recheck and confirm any news before publishing.

The CM also promised to monitor SoO militants and take stringent actions against those militants under SoO for breaking ground rules.

CM also gave the assurance on opening school on Wednesday.

Earlier on Sunday, CM paid floral tribute to the three village volunteer Forces killed in the Kuki Militants' attack at Khoijumantabi. He also visited the spot to observe the ground reality and situation of the region
