The NSCN has agreed to resume talks on the condition that they are based on the Framework Agreement and the formulation papers submitted to N.N. Ravi and A.K. Mishra, T.R. Zeliang, the co-convenor of the core committee, said.
Zeliang furthered that an NSCN-IM delegation is likely to leave for Delhi on Monday, the 19th of September.
The decision came after a meeting was held between the 11 representatives of the NSCN (IM) and the 22-member Core Committee on Naga Political Issues comprising MPs and MLAs of Nagaland.
The meeting was held at Chumoukedima near Dimapur on Saturday after the Centre asked the core panel headed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to convince the outfit to come forward to resume the peace talks and ink a final solution.
