President, State Leaders Extend Wishes On Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba

President Droupadi Murmu greeted citizens on the eve of Sajibu Cheiraoba and hoped that they bind different communities of India in bonds of love, harmony and affection.

The President conveyed her greetings to citizens on the eve of Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba, a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.

"These festivals, which are celebrated on the arrival of the Indian new year, are symbols of our faith and carriers of our ancient culture. These festivals of happiness strengthen the spirit of social harmony and brotherhood in our society. We also express our gratitude to nature through these festivals," she said.

Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey, in her message to people of the state said, New Year is an occasion for the people to rejoice and look forward to the future with hope. It is time for making resolutions to usher in a year of peace and harmony in the State.

"I also look forward to the New Year as the harbinger for a happy and prosperous life for all the people in the State irrespective of caste, creed and religion”, the Governor said.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh also greeted the people on the occasion and wished that the New Year may fill people with positivity and zeal to turn dreams into reality and efforts into achievements. "Let us once again dedicate ourselves to taking Manipur to greater heights. I wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year," the Chief Minister said.
